Not Your Typical Therapist

I'm not your typical "blank slate" therapist. I share my thoughts and knowledge, I’ll email you resources and see if that resonates with you. 

I believe the clients are the experts in their healing journey, while I bring expertise in the therapeutic field. Together, we build a supportive, trusting relationship and explore what it means to be a silly complex human being.

In terms of modalities, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts, and Mindfulness techniques. 

I love learning. I'm a huge nerd who "reads" (mostly listen on audible) about 50 books a year, drawing inspiration from psychologists, social activists, neuroscientists, and maybe some fantasy books if the premise is good. Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order.
